Of all the many dream holidays you could possibly spend in the Pacific, the most unique has to be a cruise of the Galapagos, the islands explored by Charles Darwin himself. You’ll come ashore on the white sandy beach of Darwin Bay on Genovesa Island and as you stroll along, you will recognise Great Frigatebirds by their bright red throat pouches and gliding flight, while yellow-crowned night and lava herons feed along the water’s edge. You’ll walk through natural pools that have formed in the volcanic rock and see marine iguanas and lizards basking in the sun. The path that winds its way between the island’s pools leads to a caldera filled with saltwater where pairs of swallow-tailed gulls, which are unique in the gull kingdom for their nocturnal feeding habits, nest undisturbed in this heavenly spot.
Charm, elegance and comfort. Discover the Galapagos aboard Grace, a 44-metre motoryacht offering every convenience and luxury as well as cutting-edge spec. What makes this particular cruise through the Galapagos so special is the opportunity to experience truly unique wildlife in a setting where humans are accepted without fear. Grace welcomes just 18 fortunate guests aboard to ensure activities and excursions are as well-organised and rewarding as possible. The onboard dining is superb with the menu changing every day and offering a mix of local and international cuisine. There is air-conditioning throughout and plenty of deck areas where guests can relax and enjoy the cooling sea breeze too. The bar is always open. Having started life as a private megayacht, M/Y Passion has been refurbished but still retains many of her original rather unique features including pink marble bathroom trim and teak decks with large sunning areas, lending her a particular charm all of her own.
Perfect for families and private charters, Passion stretches 48.5 metres in length and has four decks. She is extremely spacious and very comfortably accommodates 12 guests.
A panoramic sky lounge, bar, separate dining room, relaxing Jacuzzi and generous areas for sunning and dining cooled by the sea breeze, are just some of the guest amenities aboard.
M/Y also has six guest cabins, one of which is a Master stateroom and one a VIP. Both of the latter have double bathrooms. There are also four other double/twin standard staterooms with their own bathrooms complete with tub. All are air-conditioned. The 12-person crew provides a first-class individual service to the 12 guests, while the onboard chef produces superb gourmet meals.
