Corrado Di Majo, selling broker
Equinoxe Yachts International is pleased to announce the sale of the performance cruiser SW78 SKIP ‘N BOU, with Corrado Di Majo at EYI representing the seller. Special thanks to Nautor’s Swan USA for introducing the buyer.
Delivered by Southern Wind in 2003, 78’ Skip’n Bou (formerly known as Acacia Cube) represents the ideal combination between the elegant Italian design of the renowned Nauta Yachts and the naval architecture of Farr Yacht Design, epitome of performance and safety. This impressive sailing yacht mixes advanced materials and cutting-edge construction techniques with the level of comfort and performance expected of her pedigreed builder. She looked in turn-key condition at the time of the sale thanks to her frequent maintenance works and refits, the last of which was carried out in 2017.
Skip’N Bou features a composite hull with 39,6 tons displacement, her power coming from a Yanmar 230 hp engine. The layout allows at the same time privacy for the new owner, guests and crew and great functionality in the yacht management. Note that Skip’n Bou has two separate companionways, for guests and crew, a feature quite rare on a 80 ft yacht. Hull and deck are built using SP Systems epoxy resin, Carbon and kevlar skins, which is a promise for performance.
In the interior, a panoramic deck saloon which allows a 260 degrees outlook is complemented by a generous sunbathing area, located between the crew and the central cockpit dedicated to guests. She can accommodate 6/7 guests in her well-conceived and roomy cabins, with a crew of 4. On the technical side, she has a Hall Spars high modulus carbon mast and a Park Avenue carbon boom, with a mast height of 33.16 metres above the deck and hydraulic Reckmann furlers. On deck she has Lewmar winches and carries a sail wardrobe of North Sails carbon/spectra sails.
